Our mission is to serve you, your family and the local community by providing a personal fitness support system built around action. We are not a running-only club, we are a MOVEMENT club. We don't just run. We move.
We believe in building a fun, social and supportive atmosphere. We also believe that optimal fitness requires doing more than just putting miles in training for a race. That is why we will have a wide range of fitness activity choices when it comes to our workouts.
We will have a mix of short to mid distance group runs, track workouts and fun runs. Each of our runs are led by experienced USA Track and Field and RRCA certified running coaches. Would you rather walk or do strength training instead? No problem, We have alternate activities that you can participate in each time we meet!
If you ARE training for a race and need a training plan or if you have a training question, our coaches will be available to answer your questions during your workout. As our numbers grow, we will add pace groups, long runs, trail hydration support and additional fun runs like the occasional trail run, or destination race.
We are partnering with some of the areas best fitness trainers, yoga instructors, and workout facilities to bring you occasional pop-up or hosted workouts that focus on flexibility and bodyweight strength exercises. If you decide you want more, these workouts will help you determine who you like best so you can seek them out for additional services.
We are partnering with some of the areas best registered dietitians, sports medicine doctors, physical therapists, and other heath and wellness professionals to bring you nutrition clinics, healthy eating/cooking demonstrations, injury prevention clinics and healthy lifestyle clinics to address certain medical conditions, rest and recovery, mental health, and weight loss, etc. Wellness is more than just exercise.
We all need motivation, accountability and a strong mindset from time to time. That is why we are focused on building a team-driven culture that goes beyond a workout. To integrate health and wellness into our lives we need to surround ourselves by people who will encourage and support us. That is why each month we will have one or more fun activities to build a stronger team and community. Some ideas that have been tossed around are kickball tournaments, club cookouts, boating at Alum Creek, post-workout coffee shop trips, mini-golf, Lewis Center Olympics, wine and/or beer tastings, and more.
We believe Lewis Center and the surrounding areas such as Powell, Delaware, Galena, Westerville and nearby communities are great places to live. That is why Run Fit works to support our local communities through acts of service. From trail cleanup to supporting local charities, our mission is to serve and volunteer in the areas where we live.
